Inaugural Kicking For A Cure Mascot Soccer Game

On Saturday, September 29, 2018, the Inaugural Kicking For A Cure Mascot Soccer Game hit the field with one purpose in mind.  “To bring attention to the need to support research for cures to any of the many varieties of Cancer”.   But especially for those that affect our youth and their ability to experience the best that life has to offer.

The event was Sponsored by the Sunflower Soccer Association and held at the Sunflower Soccer Field which is located just north of the Kansas River on Lower Silver Lake Rd.

Participating in the event were kids that are members of the Association and various mascots from area organizations.  The mascots that joined the players on the field included ‘Roller Roo’ from Sk8away, ‘Victor E Wildcats’ from the Hayden Wildcats, ‘The Topeka High Trojan’, and last but not least ‘The Chick-fil-A Cow’.

As can be seen by the photos, fun was had by all as they promoted their cause for finding a cure for Cancer.

We need to all do …… what we can ….. to improve …… the quality of life ….. possibilities for all of our children! So let’s all find a way and do what we can to insure the lives of our youth are protected against this terrible beast called, “CANCER”.  Find a way to help make this happen!
